After we went to southern Utah, we went back up to our annual Israelsen family reunion at our family cabin, with the black bear Grandpa shot in Alaska,
the huge elk one of the uncles or Grandpa shot,
and a boy too young to have a knife like that (those naughty uncles)!
As always, we were not disappointed. Lots of good food, snow cones, water slides, games and good conversation. In fact it was so much fun, I forgot to get my camera out until the last day!
Most people had gone home, but sweet Grandma Israelsen was still there.
We took advantage of the opportunity and took some photos with her.
Eli & Olivia love Grandma...
and Ethan,
Leah,
Lilly,
Alex,
and her baby girl Bonnie.
Uncle James found a very dehydrated baby woodchuck caught in the live trap. So being the veterinarian he is, he nursed it back to health with Gatorade and then set it free. We followed the best we could through the swampy area, and I tried to get a picture, but I slipped in the marsh and this is what I got. See it on the log resting? Maybe not - I'll work on my camera skills.
As I measure a successful activity by how well it wears the kids out, I gave this an A1 rating!
Twice.
We love family reunions!
